Omega serial numbers
Sminto is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an authorised service of Omega. This page does not authenticate watches.
The movement number dates the movement, not the sale: collector tables cover the decades to the late 1980s with medium confidence and the 1990s to about 2008 at decade level, and nothing after.
Where to find the serial
The movement number, seven or eight digits, engraved on the movement; since the early 1990s also on the caseback or the back of a lug; on the warranty card.
Where to find the reference
The dotted number inside the caseback (145.022, or 3570.50.00 in the later format); on the warranty card and the pictogram card.
What this page can and cannot say
It reads the serial against the format rules Omega has used and says which era it fits. The movement number dates the movement, not the sale: collector tables cover the decades to the late 1980s with medium confidence and the 1990s to about 2008 at decade level, and nothing after. With a reference it says whether the serial's era and the reference's production window fit each other.
It does not say whether a watch is real or fake, it does not ask the brand anything, and no lost-or-stolen check is performed here. Years are estimates from published tables that the brand does not publish or endorse; where tables disagree, the page shows both.
No reviewed table for Omega yet, so the check does not run for this brand. Rows go live only with a source and a reviewer; the Omega serial number table shows what is live.
The brand's own archive service
Omega Extract from the Archives: suspended. Suspended since 2023: Omega's reply of May 2023 said the service 'is not currently available' with no date for its return (Omega Forums); collectors reported it discontinued in April 2025; the brand's extract page no longer mentions it and now redirects to the home page (checked 2026-10-31 and 2026-11-02).
An extract from the brand's archive is the one document that states a production date from the maker's own records. This page cannot replace it.
Lost or stolen?
No lost-or-stolen check was performed on this page. Check free at Enquirus, or at The Watch Register (paid; used by dealers, insurers and police).
